Pakistani man marries two women in one day

A man is committed through an arranged marriage to marry one woman, but finds himself in love with another. His refusal to go through with the arranged marriage threatens to break apart his family. Finally a compromise is reached when he suggests marrying both women. Everyone agrees, the women saying that they will live as sisters, and the man marries both women within a 24-hour period.

I hope it all works out for the best for all parties involved, but I have to wonder about the poor woman who is being married out of obligation. It reminds me of the story in the bible of Jacob who married both Leah and Rachel.
